Step-By-Step:
Start by getting the Hackathon PDF by clicking on the "Print" button above.
Open the PDF and print a hard copy.
For random drawing, you can print another copy of the call list, cut, fold and then pick them randomly at play time.
Cut the bingo cards at the cut lines if there are greater than 1 bingo cards per page.
Distribute one card per player. For marking, you can use pencils. Crayons are the cheapest.
Choose one person to be the caller. If you are playing in a small group, the caller may as well play along with their own Bingo card.
The caller initiates the play by randomly pulling an item from the call list and calling out it to all players.
The players look at their cards to see if they have the called word. If they do, they dab that word.
The first player to complete a horizontal, vertical, or a diagonal line of marked items yells "Bingo!" and wins the game.
The caller validates that the items crossed off form a correct line according to the Bingo card and call list.
You can play for different patterns or a full card blackout for a longer game.
This Hackathon Bingo Cards Game contains following Words or Phrases: someone tries to build the singularity, someone can't get the example to run, someone can't login, someone suggest to do this in some obtuse programming language instead, laptop crashes, ChatGPT makes a really stupid suggestion, someone tries to solve a problem purely with vibe coding, someone says "synergy", someone tries to change everything one hour before the demo, someone makes a typo and breaks everything for ten minutes, someone sends their program as zip file via teams or email, spending way too much time on naming variables, spending way too much time on naming the project, something works and no-one knows why, something doesn't work and no-one knows why, a team member mysteriously disappears, person who clearly doesn't want to talk has to give the demo.
